For Christmas this year my parents bought me a new television to replace my aging Sharp 27U-S600. I have been happy with  the Sharp for the almost eight years I have owned it, but as it has aged I have noticed the image will occasionally switch between a unnatural red tint and the normal color, typically when there is a large amount red in the image, or the image contains mostly contrasting colors. This is noticeable because oddly the image does not remain red tinted for the entire time the image is displayed but will change from normal color to red tinting for a few seconds, before returning to normal again. But enough about the old, let us hear about the new.

My new television is the Samsung LN40B650, a 40 inch, ultra clear panel, Full 1080P, 4ms response, 120Hz auto motion plus, 100,000:1 contrast ratio, internet connected, LCD television. Let me just say, the picture is incredible and the quality is unbelievable, with the 2,073,600 pixels in it, there is not a single dead/stuck/bright pixel. The color is so clear and natural, It is easy to become immersed in the world inside the window.

My parents ordered it through newegg.com on Sunday the 13th and it arrived on Tuesday the 15th, the free shipping time was excellent the $400.99 discount which brought the price to $1099.00 was great and the packaging was more than sufficient. I would absolutely recommend newegg.com for purchasing a new television. Pictures after the break.
